In order to repair
your washing machine, you will first have to determine what is wrong with
it. Similar symptoms can appear with different problems and figuring out which
one is causing you the headache can take a little time. For example, if the
machine is refusing to offer hot water it could be something as simple as a
clogged filter on the hot water inlet or something more complex and expensive
as the water inlet valve or the switch that controls the temperature selector.
Other problems that can be fixed at home include- Machine not draining, Machine
doesn't start when turned on and Motor hums but doesn't work.
Before starting your washing
machine repairs, you will need to know what is wrong with it and which
part may need replaced. If the machine doesn't start, insure it is plugged into
the outlet securely and the switch is in the proper position. If you are the
type that turns off the water to the machine when not at home, you may have
forgotten to turn it back on.
